Is it really free and open?
Yes. It is not needed to be a resident of Molėtai or citizen of Lithuania to use library services. You are welcome to be our reader even without a library card. You can use computers, read books, journals and study here in the library free of charge.
You are kindly invited to participate in all cultural and educational activities at our library. Events are held in Lithuanian, but most of the time we can help you with translation to/from English.
You are welcome to propose your own event, be it a Language exchange Cafe, a lecture, a workshop or a book presentation. Write to us email@example.com or talk to librarians directly.
Our Kids library on the first floor is cozy, full of colorful books and games. Members of our Senior club are active and inspiring. Book signings, exhibitions, discussions and all other cultural and educational events at the Molėtai library are free and open to everyone, unless it’s a small workshop that asks for participants to register in advance.
We have free wi fi and a space in Information reading room on the ground floor if you prefer to work on your projects using your laptop.
We speak English and will be happy to help you. We look for volunteers for our Language exchange cafe and other events, come and make the library your own!
We are also looking for international cooperation in fields of literature, culture, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and lifelong learning.

Molėtai library is called Molėtų biblioteka in Lithuanian and has not only cozy headquarters in the center of Molėtai town, but also a network of 24 libraries in smaller towns and villages of the Molėtai district.
